Congress moves to extend autos ‘clunkers’ plan

WASHINGTON/DETROIT (Reuters) – The U.S. Congress moved to triple the funding for the government’s successful “Cash for Clunkers” auto rebate program, which has brought car buyers back into showrooms and raised the outlook for an industry beset by abysmal sales, bankruptcies and job cuts.

The program, which gives drivers a rebate to turn in an old car to buy a new one, received a boost on Friday when the U.S. House approved $2 billion for it on top of the initial $1 billion approved in June to stimulate auto sales….

John Conyers: quintessential moron

Published by Admin under Uncategorized

Judiciary Chairman John Conyers accidently makes the case for slowing down the legislative process so that lawmakers and citizens alike can understand and debate what is being passed into law.

But Conyers’ point is moot. Anybody as stupid as he, probably can’t read anyway.

Obama further uncovered

Published by Admin under Obama

American citizen, Edward Simmons from Florida, puts the pieces together the way our neutered mainstream media refuses to.

YouTube – What Obama is doing finally makes sense.

Ed’s explanation makes clear the reason for BO’s smash and grab rush to get everything passed before America wakes up. Hopefully we will soon find a smoking gun with which we can impeach this man for his violation of his oath to protect our Constitution. May that day come soon, for all our sakes.

In his own words

Seems to be turning into a real horse race as to who can get his foot further in his mouth, Smokin’ Joe Biden or President Your-Money-is-My-Money Obama. Whichever, lets hope Rahm Emanuel encourages BO to unplug the tele-prompter and speak off the cuff more often. Every time he does, we get a little clearer picture of what a lying fraud he really is.

Public to Obama on Gatesgate: not what we had in mind
Michael Barone

July 26, 2009

….Obama campaigned as a post-racial candidate, one who would lead America in a future in which we could put racial discord behind us. His insistence on saying that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly” undermined that appeal. He sounded more like (though not exactly like) Al Sharpton and less like the Barack Obama who first came to our attention in that 17-minute speech to the Democratic National Convention….

News of the Weird: Growing up, Georgio longed to be stepped on, and now, as an adult, he carries his own rug around to lie underneath.

New York Times
June 14, 2009

A 48-year-old immigrant from Malta regularly hangs out in various New York City bars, but always on the floor, so that he can enjoy his particular passion of being stepped on. “Georgio T.” told The New York Times in June that he has delighted in being stepped on since he was a kid. While one playmate “wanted to be the doctor, (another) wanted to be the carpenter … I would want to be the carpet.” Nowadays, he carries a custom-made rug he can affix to his back (and a sign, Step on Carpet) and may lie face-down for several hours if the bar is busy. He is also a regular at “high foot-traffic” fetish parties, where dozens of stompers (especially women in stilettos) can satisfy their own urges while gratifying Georgio.

Why Obamacare Is Sinking
You can’t fake health-care nirvana in legislation

By Charles Krauthammer
National Review Online
July 24, 2009

What happened to Obamacare? Rhetoric met reality. As both candidate and president, the master rhetorician could conjure a world in which he bestows upon you health-care nirvana: more coverage, less cost.

But you can’t fake it in legislation. Once you commit your fantasies to words and numbers, the Congressional Budget Office comes along and declares that the emperor has no clothes….

Ri Hyon Ok joins the martyrs

Published by Admin under North Korea

Events like this bring home so clearly how precious are the everyday freedoms we take for granted here in America.

It seems entirely appropriate that Kim Jong-Il, a tumorous little moral pustule of a man, is now himself dying of cancer. May it take the vile, malignant little cretin quickly to judgment.

North Korea Publicly Executes Christian Woman for Distributing Bible

FOXNews (AP)
Friday, July 24, 2009

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea publicly executed a Christian woman last month for distributing the Bible, which is banned in the communist nation, South Korean activists said Friday.Ri Hyon Ok, 33, was also accused of spying for South Korea and the United States and organizing dissidents. She was executed in the northwestern city of Ryongchon near the border with China on June 16, according to a report from an alliance of several dozen anti-North Korea groups.

Ri’s parents, husband and three children were sent to a political prison camp in the northeastern city of Hoeryong the following day, the report said, citing unidentified documents it says were obtained from North Korea. It showed a copy of Ri’s North Korean government-issued photo ID. It is virtually impossible to verify such reports about secretive North Korea, where the government tightly controls the lives of its citizens and does not allow dissent….

Axis of Idiots

Received this in an email today. I have nothing to add except, “Thanks, Sarge.”

The Axis of Idiots

Jimmy Carter, you are the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You’re the runner-in-chief.

Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them
in Somalia and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the USS Cole and the First Trade Center Bombing and Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001.

John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam. Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You’ve accused our military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq. You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam. You’re a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did to the Vietnamese. Iraq, like Vietnam, is another war that you were for, before you were against it.

John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can’t win militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you didn’t suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You’re a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You’re not a Marine, sir. You wouldn’t amount to a good pimple on a real Marine’s butt. You’re a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.

Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run.

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqi’s torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you. If you truly supported our troops, you’d show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there.You’re a bloated, drunken fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Chuck Schumer, the Hollywood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam: Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers, that we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers (the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers) cause to think that we’ll run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours after they have gained both strength and momentum.

American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can’t strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer.

You are America’s ‘AXIS OF IDIOTS.’ Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don’t ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers home as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies.

Yes, I’m questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I’m also questioning why you’re stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don’t deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it.

Our country has two enemies:Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within.

Semper Fi,

Slippery slope

Universal government administered health care isn’t the path anyone with half a brain wants to go down. This initiative has to be slowed down, openly debated, broadly amended and narrowed.

I believe politicians are motivated primarily by their desire to remain in offce. Therefore, I’m hopeful that when congress breaks for the summer they will get such an earful from the people who elected them, they will return after Labor Day much in doubt about their political survival if they vote for BO’s bogus health care reform plan.

Much in America’s current health care works very well, otherwise, 85% of people polled would not describe themselves as satisfied with their present health care coverage. And, people from all over the world wouldn’t come here for medical care.

Why on earth would we choose to completely disassemble the whole system to satisfy the 15%? That BO would even seek bottom up “change” like that turns one more shovel full of dirt, unearthing his true intentions, to expand government, power and control.

Is health care in America as good as it can get? Probably not, but does it call for BO”s “change” or, rather, carefully considered “reform” that doesn’t throw the baby out with the dirty bath water? However health care eventually evolves, most Americans want at least these basic features that are absent from BO’s mostly unread, 1,000+ page universal health care monstrosity:

  • Choice of physicians and health care plans;
  • Access to treatment, when needed and without delay or government denial;
  • Patient centered care rather than government centered, where federal bureaucrats stand in judgement between us and our physicians;
  • Fairness in the form of the same tax-breaks employees get if I have to pay for my own insurance;
  • Government assistance redirected to those who truly need it;
  • Control of our own health care decisions;
  • Integrity to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse;
  • Ownership of an insurance plan we can take with us if we have to change jobs.
  • Protection for the unborn by denial of government payment for abortion on demand.

What others have to say:

When It Comes to Socialized Health Care, Seniors 65 and Over Just Aren’t Worth The Cost!

The Editors
Family Security Matters
July 20, 2009

In a shocking and revealing interview, Betsy McCaughey, former lieutenant governor of New York and chair of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, describes what is awaiting our senior citizen population under socialized medicine. Included in the bill which few have read are, among other horrors, provisions for mandatory counseling sessions for Medicare patients on how to end life sooner in the interest of society. “Comparative effectiveness” takes over where humane compassion ends….

And from the queen of understatement, Ann Coulter:

Take Two Aspirin and Call Me When Your Cancer is Stage 4

All the problems with the American health care system come from government intervention, so naturally the Democrats’ idea for fixing it is more government intervention. This is like trying to sober up by having another drink….

via Ann Coulter : Take Two Aspirin and Call Me When Your Cancer is Stage 4 – Townhall.com.

Government gone wild isn’t exactly a new problem. Here’s the most extreme condition that lies at the bottom of the slippery slope of universal government health care:

Excerpt from Catholic Cardinal Clemens von Galen’s speech  against Nazi euthanasia, delivered in Germany on August 3, 1941

If you establish and apply the principle that you can kill ‘unproductive’ fellow human beings then woe betide us all when we become old and frail! If one is allowed to kill the unproductive people then woe betide the invalids who have used up, sacrificed and lost their health and strength in the productive process. If one is allowed forcibly to remove one’s unproductive fellow human beings then woe betide loyal soldiers who return to the homeland seriously disabled, as cripples, as invalids. If it is once accepted that people have the right to kill ‘unproductive’ fellow humans–and even if initially it only affects the poor defenseless mentally ill–then as a matter of principle murder is permitted for all unproductive people, in other words for the incurably sick, the people who have become invalids through labor and war, for us all when we become old, frail and therefore unproductive.

Then, it is only necessary for some secret edict to order that the method developed for the mentally ill should be extended to other ‘unproductive’ people, that it should be applied to those suffering from incurable lung disease, to the elderly who are frail or invalids, to the severely disabled soldiers. Then none of our lives will be safe any more. Some commission can put us on the list of the ‘unproductive,’ who in their opinion have become worthless life. And no police force will protect us and no court will investigate our murder and give the murderer the punishment he deserves.

via Cardinal Galen’s Speech – Against Nazi Euthanasia.

Couldn’t happen here? This time last year I would have said, “No.” Now I’m no longer so sure. What is clear is that its  time to take wake up and get involved, before anything even remotely resembling this gets further traction in America.

Please consider signing the “Free Our Health Care Now!” petition.
